OMNIPOD

HI MY NAMES DAVID HERMAN AND I ATTENDED MADIDEA 2007. I COME FROM ENGLAND,UK AND REALLY WANT TO GET THE OMNIPOD.AS IT IS NOT AVAILABLE HERE I PHONED UP THE OMNIPOD COMPANY AND ASKED WHAT I WOULD NEED TO GET IT.
OBVIOUSLY BECAUSE I LIVE IN THE UK, I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE OMNIPOD.
BASICIALLY I NEED TO GET 1. A DOCTORS PRESCRIPTION AND 2. AN ADDRESS TO SHIP IT TO IN THE UNITED STATES TO THEN SHIP IT OVER TO ME. CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS?, OBVIOUSLY I WILL PAY THE SHIPPER EXTRA MONEY, (WHATEVER THEY REQUIRE) AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET A DOCTOR TO APPROVE AND GIVE ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR THE OMNIPOD.
ANY ADVICE AND HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRICIATED.

Hi David, my name is Denise and I am very new to this website. I recently started on the Omnipod the week of Thanksgiving (Nov. 25th), I love it. I am new to the pump but the wireless pump is the way to go. My niece has the animas pump with the tubing, she always seems to be moving it around attaching it to her clothes. Just seems like a hassle to me. I see a doctor at Stanford in California. I would be glad to ask her if she has any advice on how to help you obtain the pump. Would it be possible to get the approval from your doctor but have them ship it to an address here in the US? I am sure you have thought of everything. Good Luck, I will be in touch. Denise Doscher
