So, Jeff M's blog on Toe Tinglies brings me to updating my blog and confessing that I am struggling with adhesive capsulitis (frozen shoulder) in my left shoulder. I had heard about it years ago -- in fact, I recall Joe Largay bringing it up a few years ago (MADiDEA 05?) and me totally blowing it off and thinking it'd never apply to me....Well, here I am a few years older and boom, a season without ice climbing and haven't done a pull-up since September of last year. Last week I got a cortisone injection (wreaking havoc on my blood sugars, incidentally) and have done some acupuncture, even massage. And this week, things are looking up. Thankfully I have been able to skate ski some this winter and ride my road bike when the weather has allowed. Like Jeff I am wishing I had more real estate where the absorption was better. And lack of mobility has made some areas inaccessible. !#$%^*()(#^*_^#&$ this Big %*#(*&^%%$$##! D OK, I feel a little better. Time for exercise and eating less.
Be good to yourselves and keep moving those arms in nice ways. Also, head for the hills soon and write up a little TR like Boyan did. (and where did that funky html formatting come from, the table??) Day after tomorrow I'm off for Costa Rica with family. Nothing particularly adventurous, although son Martin wants to view a resplendant quetzal.
Hasta Pronto - dp
