Hypoglycemic Unawareness

Over the past year, my hypoglycemic symptoms have declined significantly and I am now somewhat unable to detect low blood sugar levels.  I'll sometimes feel completely fine with a BSL of 50.  I realize that the length of time I've had diabetes (~17 years) and tighter control causes the desensitization to symptoms, but has anyone else experienced this or have any recommendations for reversing the problem?
The ice climbing season in Colorado this year was somewhat weak, but I still got out a couple of times.

I even climbed in the Tetons last summer after having a "black-out" episode on the trip to Jackson Hole.

As others know, yes, I suffer from hypoglycemuia unawareness BIG time.  A CGMS has helped me quite a bit.  Prevention, though is key.

Good luck and I look forward to checking out your links!
