have free time in June/July 2010 ??
Ladies and Gentleman,
I had a dream...
I want to organised or rather co-organised expedition in june/july 2010. Here are some details:
option 1: we are climbing Mount Denali - one of the coldest mountain all over the world. I think that in this expedition we should become a member of organised group e.g. from Jagged Globe or another highy professional agency. In this option I am looking for one mate who will join me in this event and become my "tent" partner. Costs: about 7500 $ plus gear/person
option 2: we can, we have to organised diabates expedition on one of 7000er peak. I think that we can choose Pik Lenina or Muztagh Ata. The first is smaller but there are some technical difficulties. Group of 6-8 diabetes climbers ifsenough for this mountains - we can take a climbing doctor for our own safety. Costs: no more than 3500$ plus gear/person - if you aren't from europe costs are little higher or might be.
If you are interested or have a question write on my email adress: vipow@interia.pl
some info about me: I am from Poland, I am turrning 22 and have had diabetes type 1 since 13 July 1998. I have climbed Mount Blanc twice and Mt Elbrus to about 5100 meters.
Best,
Wojtek 'koyot"

Hi there,
Wwhat is going on with that project?
Few information about me: I'm swiss, 33 years old, T1D for 2 years now. I have been walking a bit those two past years but only 1-day trips around 3'000m. Previously, as a non-diabetic, I have been mountaineering in Peru, where I made the Nevado Urus(5500m) and the Nevado Pisco(5750m).
I have 2 month of holidays to take before September and plan to spend this time in the mountains. I think about 6000-6500m high summits not too technical.
Hello Koyot.
Welcome to the group and your ideas sound great. I can only offer you my encouragement at this time (and some advice/opinions if you want some).
Cheers, David Panofsky
