Jerry and Team Decide to Retreat
Well, the weather just seems to have sunken into Karakoram winter: frozen, icy ropes, cold temps....Check out the Free Dream Blog site for the latest posting. See links on my last blog posting on this site.
They did great and now let's hope they can find a way out of Pakistan!
Nice job Jerry and thanks for entertaining us during your adventure. Any new plans for a better bag to keep your insulin from freezing? The Marco bag didn't cut it? Do tell.

dp news plus gossip
Hi all -
Been a mountain-quiet summer for me. BUT, I am planning a super short trip in a few weeks with DTB and will post a story with pics. I've had the worst A1c in years, but mostly b/c I have had virtually no hypos. Still using the CGMS and overall liking it. Having problems with insulin absorption (many dead zones) and looking for new "real estate" all the time. (change those infusion sets regularly!). Been riding my road bike enough to be reasonably fit and that's about it.

The aim of this recap is not to rub in all the climbing, biking, summits, lakes, waterfalls, expert medical information, product samples, great food and personal advice that we shared. Rather, it’s to make sure you don’t miss the next MADiDEA symposium!

MADiDEA 2005 Report
MADiDEA 2005 was a great success.
About thirty people from five different countries gathered September 23, 2005 in the geographic center of Colorado to inspire, motivate, and learn from one another. The key ingredients to success were outstanding attendees, speakers, and weather all mixed together in a spectacular mountain setting where we ran, biked, hiked, fished, scrambled, climbed, and shared our thoughts and ideas about life with diabetes.
